Prices of stock photos vary greatly; depending on the circulation of the publication, the number and size of photos used, etc. Below is an average price list for what to expect when purchasing stock photography according to the type of publication you’re producing:

Magazine cover images $1,000-$3,000
Full page magazine images $500-$900
Calendars $500-$1,000 per image for the use during 1 calendar year
Postcards $600-$700 per image
Greeting cards $700 on average for worldwide rights for 3-5 years
Corporate calendars/reports $400-$700 per image
Book publishers $5,000-$20,000 plus 10% royalties
